USER GUIDE Golden Wolf SMC Trendline / Golden Wolf SMC Trendline Alerts Versions for MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 1. Purpose of the indicators Golden Wolf SMC Trendline is the main indicator for visual market analysis based on Smart Money Concepts. It displays market structure elements, trendlines, breakouts, zones of interest, and signals directly on the chart. Golden Wolf SMC Trendline Alerts is an additional notification indicator. It reads data from the dashboard of the main indicator and sends alerts for selected events. The main indicator is used for analysis. The Alerts indicator is used for event monitoring and notifications. 2. Installation 3.1. Installation via MQL5 Market 1. Open MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5. 2. Go to the Market tab. 3. Find the required Golden Wolf SMC Trendline product. 4. Install the main indicator. 5. Install Golden Wolf SMC Trendline Alerts if you need notifications. 6. After installation, open the Navigator window. 7. Find the indicators under Indicators / Market. 8. Drag the indicator onto the chart. 3.2. Manual file installation For MetaTrader 4: 1. Open File -> Open Data Folder. 2. Go to MQL4 -> Indicators. 3. Copy the indicator file into this folder. 4. Restart the terminal or click Refresh in the Navigator window. For MetaTrader 5: 1. Open File -> Open Data Folder. 2. Go to MQL5 -> Indicators. 3. Copy the indicator file into this folder. 4. Restart the terminal or click Refresh in the Navigator window. 4. Quick start 1. Open the required symbol and timeframe. 2. Attach the main Golden Wolf SMC Trendline indicator to the chart. 3. Make sure that the dashboard is enabled: Show Dashboard / Show online SMC dashboard table = true. 4. If you need notifications, attach Golden Wolf SMC Trendline Alerts to the same chart. 5. In the Alerts settings, select the required alert types. 6. Leave Source prefix empty if you use automatic data reading. 7. Wait for a closed candle and dashboard data update. Important: the Alerts indicator must be attached to the same symbol and timeframe where the main indicator is running. 5. Main indicator: Golden Wolf SMC Trendline The indicator can display: - trendlines; - trendline breaks; - BOS; - CHOCH; - BUY / SELL signals; - BSL Sweep and SSL Sweep; - Equal High / Equal Low; - Order Blocks; - Fair Value Gaps; - 50% equilibrium; - an SMC dashboard on the chart. 6. Main parameters of Golden Wolf SMC Trendline Swing length Sensitivity for detecting swing highs and swing lows. A lower value gives more signals. A higher value gives fewer but more significant structure points. Max bars to scan Number of historical candles used for analysis. A higher value provides more history but may increase terminal load. Show trendlines Enables or disables trendline display. Show trendline breaks Enables or disables trendline breakout display. Trendlines to keep Number of recent trendlines kept on the chart. Show BOS / CHOCH Enables market structure display: BOS means structure continuation. CHOCH means a possible change of direction. Show liquidity sweeps Enables liquidity sweep display: BSL Sweep means liquidity taken above highs. SSL Sweep means liquidity taken below lows. Show EQH / EQL Enables Equal High and Equal Low display. ATR period for EQH/EQL tolerance ATR period used to calculate tolerance for equal highs and equal lows. EQH/EQL tolerance multiplier Tolerance multiplier for Equal High / Equal Low. A higher value makes the matching zone wider. Show order blocks Enables Order Block display. Order block search lookback Lookback depth for detecting the candle used to build an Order Block. OB range: body only instead of wick If enabled, the Order Block zone is built only from the candle body. If disabled, the full candle range including wicks is used. Active OB zones to keep Number of active Order Block zones kept on the chart. Show Fair Value Gaps Enables FVG display. Hide filled FVG zones If enabled, filled FVG zones are hidden. FVG zones to keep Number of FVG zones kept on the chart. Show 50% equilibrium Enables the 50% equilibrium level. Show BUY / SELL text signals Enables BUY / SELL text signals on the chart. Show online SMC dashboard table Enables the information dashboard on the chart. For the Alerts indicator, it is recommended to keep this dashboard enabled. Dashboard corner / X offset / Y offset / Font size Dashboard position and size settings. Redraw every tick If enabled, the indicator updates chart objects on every tick. If the terminal becomes slow, this option can be disabled. Extend zones to the right, bars Number of bars used to extend OB/FVG zones to the right. Max BOS/CHOCH objects, Max sweep labels, Max signal labels Limits for the number of objects displayed on the chart. Colors Color settings for bullish, bearish, and neutral elements. 7. Golden Wolf SMC Trendline dashboard The dashboard displays key data: Current signal Current signal: BUY, SELL, or NO SIGNAL. Signal reason Reason for the signal: BOS, CHOCH, Sweep, Trendline Break, OB, FVG, or a combination of conditions. Market bias Current market structure direction: Bullish — bullish bias. Bearish — bearish bias. Neutral — neutral state. BOS Break of Structure. Usually indicates continuation of the current structure. CHOCH Change of Character. May indicate a possible direction change. BUY / SELL Active trading signal on the confirmed candle. Order Block Active Order Block zone. FVG Active Fair Value Gap zone. BSL Sweep Liquidity sweep above highs. SSL Sweep Liquidity sweep below lows. Trendline Break Trendline breakout. Confirmed bar Time of the candle used for dashboard calculation. The indicator uses closed candle data for signal confirmation. 8. Golden Wolf SMC Trendline Alerts The Alerts indicator is used together with the main indicator. It does not build the full SMC markup by itself. It reads data from the Golden Wolf SMC Trendline dashboard. Available alerts: - BUY / SELL signal; - BOS; - CHOCH; - BSL / SSL Sweep; - Trendline Break; - Order Block; - Fair Value Gap. Available notification channels: - popup alert in the terminal; - push notification; - email notification; - sound alert. 9. Main parameters of Golden Wolf SMC Trendline Alerts Source prefix Source object prefix. Usually this field should be left empty. When empty, the indicator automatically searches for the main indicator dashboard for the current symbol and timeframe. Refresh table every N seconds Notification dashboard refresh frequency. MT4/MT5 popup alerts Enables standard terminal popup alerts. Push notifications to mobile terminal Enables push notifications to the mobile terminal. MetaQuotes ID must be configured in the terminal. Email notifications Enables email notifications. Email settings must be configured in the terminal. Play sound Enables a sound alert. Sound file Sound file from the terminal Sounds folder. Send alert immediately if current closed bar already has signal If enabled, the indicator may send an alert immediately after launch if the last closed candle already has a signal. Alert BUY / SELL signal Enables alerts for BUY / SELL signals. Alert BOS Enables alerts for BOS. Alert CHOCH Enables alerts for CHOCH. Alert BSL / SSL Sweep Enables alerts for liquidity sweeps. Alert Trendline Break Enables alerts for trendline breaks. Alert Order Block creation Enables alerts when an Order Block appears. Alert FVG creation Enables alerts when a Fair Value Gap appears. Show notification dashboard table Shows the separate Alerts indicator dashboard. Panel X / Panel Y / Font size / Panel width Position and size settings for the notification dashboard. Drag table with mouse Allows the dashboard to be moved with the mouse. Move only from table header If enabled, the dashboard can be moved only by dragging its header. Remember table position Saves the dashboard position for the symbol and timeframe. 10. Push notification setup 1. Open MetaTrader. 2. Go to Tools -> Options -> Notifications. 3. Enable Push Notifications. 4. Enter your MetaQuotes ID from the MetaTrader mobile app. 5. Click Test. 6. Enable Push notifications in the Alerts indicator settings. 11. Email notification setup 1. Open MetaTrader. 2. Go to Tools -> Options -> Email. 3. Enable email. 4. Fill in SMTP server, login, password, From, and To fields. 5. Click Test. 6. Enable Email notifications in the Alerts indicator settings. 12. Recommended workflow 1. Select the main timeframe for analysis. 2. Attach Golden Wolf SMC Trendline to the chart. 3. Check Market bias and BOS/CHOCH structure. 4. Check for BSL/SSL liquidity sweeps. 5. Check Order Block and FVG zones. 6. Check trendline breakout conditions. 7. Wait for confirmation on a closed candle. 8. Use the Alerts indicator to monitor selected events. 9. Before entering a trade, check risk, stop loss, and position size. 10. Do not use any signal in isolation without your own trading system. 13. Why Alerts may not work Reason: the main indicator is not attached to the chart. Solution: attach Golden Wolf SMC Trendline first, then attach Alerts. Reason: Alerts is attached to a different symbol or timeframe. Solution: both indicators must run on the same chart. Reason: the main indicator dashboard is disabled. Solution: enable Show Dashboard / Show online SMC dashboard table. Reason: Source prefix is incorrect. Solution: leave Source prefix empty for automatic mode. Reason: push or email is not configured in the terminal. Solution: configure Notifications or Email in terminal Options. Reason: there is no new event. Solution: the indicator sends alerts only when a selected event appears. 14. Performance optimization If the terminal becomes slow: - reduce Max bars to scan; - reduce the number of kept trendlines; - reduce the number of OB/FVG zones; - disable unnecessary visual elements; - disable Redraw every tick; - use fewer indicators on one chart. 15.
