STRATEGY SYNOPSIS This trading strategy attempts to take advantage of the inherent probability of losing streaks via a modified version of the martingale system. This strategy revolves around risk management. Before taking a trade the EA will look at the direction of the previous trade and whether or not it was successful. Based on this data, and my inputs on the EA, the program will know which direction the next trade should be and how much it should risk. SETUP If there are no open trades and the current time of day has not been filtered out, take a trade on the closing price of the current bar on the selected time frame. The trade only ends when it reaches stop loss, take profit, or is manually closed. Market orders only. ERROR CODES / FAILED POSITION OPENINGS If the EA fails to open a position for any reason send an error message to the journal saying it failed. In case of server error or internet failure I would like a message sent to my phone or email. I need to process the results of each important operation and to log error codes. I’m unsure what information to include beyond that, so simply use what you think will be best. Attempt the same trade again on the next bar. STOPLOSS AND TAKEPROFIT / RISK TO REWARD ATR based stoploss and takeprofit with customizable multiplier, ATR length, and risk to reward ratios. Upon opening a position a SL and TP should be added instantly. Either the SL or TP will be set to the ATR while the other will be some distance away relative to the first. In the inputs tab I need to be able to choose which, the SL or TP, will be placed on the ATR. Example: The SL is located where the ATR is located. In the input tab I type ‘2’ which places the TP two times further. If I type a 0.5 it places the TP only half as far as the SL. Example2: The TP is located where the ATR is located. In the input tab I type ‘4’ which places the SL four times further than the TP. LOTS SIZES For lot size calculation I want both fixed volume, and variable volume. Each should have options for percentage risk and dollar risk. Lot size will change with each consecutive loss using custom martingale risk parameters. The changing risk level should be modifiable in the inputs tab. Each consecutive loss should have a risk level option where I input the % or $ amount risked on that trade up to ten losses in a row. TRADE DIRECTION The outcome of a trade determines the direction for the next trade. This process is highly customizable, meaning I should have the flexibility to choose how trades are selected based on previous wins and losses. For example, I can set, in the inputs tab, that after each loss, the direction switches, and after each win, it repeats the winning direction. Alternatively, I can specify that the direction should switch for the first two losses, then repeat the previous losing direction for the third trade, before going back to alternating long and short trades. I also want the option for the trades to be completely random in terms of direction, this will aid me in working out the math of certain backtests. END CONDITIONS End conditions are conditions that stop automatic trading until manually told to continue. X is used in place of a value that will be specified before trading. The conditions should be. * Once account has gained X percentage or dollar amount * Once account has lost X percentage or dollar amount * Once account has lost X number of trades in a row * Once X number of trades have been completed When the chosen end condition is met I should be notified via email or text. ADDITIONAL INPUTS / REQUIREMENTS 1. I want buy and sell signals to be marked with arrows on the chart. 2. Add magic numbers to the inputs tab. 3. Time filter. 4. Time frames should be selectable. 5. Option for either compound growth or linear growth. 6. Maximum slippage option. 7. Usable on any currency pair. 8. Automatic trading only stops if previous trade was a win. 9. Trade direction is determined off previous trade. If no previous trade is available, take trade in a random direction. 10. Option to turn off and on any of the above settings if applicable.
